How do I get started?
Visit the Internship Job Board to explore available positions. You can browse without an account.
When you are ready to apply, create an applicant account through the Intern Dashboard. Use an email address you check regularly so employers and the EO WORKS team can reach you.
How do I create my account and sign in?
Select Create an applicant account, enter a username and email address, and follow the instructions. Check your email for a link to set your password, including your spam or junk folder.
Once you have set your password, return to the Intern Dashboard to sign in. If you already have an account, use it rather than creating another one. Select Forgot your password? if you need help signing in.
What is the difference between program information and an internship application?
You complete two separate steps:
-
EO WORKS program information: Tell our team about your interests, education, contact information and any support you would like. Complete this in your Intern Dashboard and select Save Program Information.
-
An application for a specific internship: Apply through the position’s listing so that employer can consider you.
Saving your program information does not apply you to a position. Submitting a job application does not automatically save your program information.
Do I need program approval before applying for internships?
No. You can apply for positions while your EO WORKS program information is being completed or reviewed. Everyone completes the program information, and our team will follow up if anything is missing.
You do not need to wait for orientation or for staff to provide login credentials before applying.
How do I apply for a position?
-
Sign in to your applicant account.
-
Open a position on the Internship Job Board.
-
Review the duties, location, schedule and requirements.
-
Select Apply and complete the application, including any required resume or attachments.
-
Submit the application and check for a confirmation.
You can apply for more than one internship. Submit a separate application for each position, but you do not need to complete your EO WORKS program information again.
Do I need a resume?
Follow the requirements shown on the application form. You may be asked to upload a resume or select a saved resume profile.
If you need help creating your first resume or updating one, request resume assistance in your EO WORKS program information. You can include school projects, volunteering, activities and skills—even if you have not had a paid job.
Uploading a resume with an application does not automatically create a saved resume profile in your dashboard. Your file may be attached to that application even when the dashboard’s resume section is empty.
How do I know my application was received?
Look for the confirmation after submitting, then check the applications section of your Intern Dashboard.
If you do not see the application, contact the EO WORKS team before submitting it again. Creating an account or saving program information alone does not mean you have applied for a position.
Who can see my information?
Employers review the application materials you submit for their positions, including resumes you share.
The separate EO WORKS program information section is intended for authorized program staff. Use that section for support requests rather than including private personal details in an employer-facing application or resume.
What happens after I apply?
The employer reviews applications and may contact you for an interview. Check your email, spam folder and voicemail regularly.
The EO WORKS team may also contact you about your program information or next steps. Applying does not guarantee an internship or financial assistance.
If an employer selects you, you will complete orientation and any remaining program requirements. Wait for EOWB to confirm that you are cleared to start before beginning work.
Can I receive school credit or help with participation costs?
Tell the EO WORKS team early if you hope to earn school credit. Your school determines its requirements, and we can help coordinate the
