If you want help choosing training, paying for it, or planning your path:
Start WSO Connect- A job you can realistically get
- A wage increase or promotion
- A required credential you need to do the job
Good training usually has:
- Clear end date
- Recognized credential (certificate/license/exam pass)
- Clear link to job postings
- Realistic schedule (childcare/transportation considered)
- Plan for what happens after training (applications/interviews)
Depending on eligibility and program rules, support may help cover tuition/fees, books/tools, testing/licensing, and sometimes supportive services.
Funding depends on eligibility and availability.
Training details: provider/school, program name, delivery type, location
Timeline: start date, end date, schedule (days/times)
Costs (itemized): tuition/fees, books/materials, tools/uniforms/PPE, exams, licensing
Prereqs: education level, required docs/tests, entry requirements
Step 5B) During Training: Check-ins + Support what to expect
- Confirm you started and are attending
- Catch barriers early (transportation, childcare, tech access)
- Confirm your post-training plan (job search, employer contacts)
- Proof of enrollment/registration
- Invoices/receipts or cost statements
- Progress documentation (sometimes)
- Completion proof (certificate/transcript/exam pass/license)
If eligible, supportive services may help remove barriers to completion (transportation, required tools/uniforms, testing fees, etc.).
