Use Oregon CIS Referral System
The fastest way to get routed to support resources is to submit a self-referral through Oregon CIS Workforce Tools. It’s trackable, and it reduces back-and-forth.
How it works:
Go to the below link, find the service provider by area and type of resource you are needing help with. You can do this without being logged in, or you can login and track your referrals, communications and appointments through the Workforce Tools tab.
Common Resource Help Categories
- Food Support (SNAP questions, food pantries, meal programs)
- Housing stability (rental assistance, shelter resources, housing navigation)
- Utilities (power/water shutoff prevention, energy assistance)
- Transportation (bus passes, gas vouchers, repair resources, local options)
- Childcare and parenting supports
- Healthcare coverage navigation
- Technology access (email/internet/device help)
- Work gear (work clothes, boots, required items when applicable)
- Financial coaching (budgeting, dept, taxes, basic planning)
- Other Barriers (you tell us what is in the way)
Extra Help Through WorkSource Oregon
Sometimes the right support is connected to your benefit status or your job search plan, and we can help you connect the dots.
Oregon Employment Department (OED)
If you’re receiving SNAP benefits or are engaged with job search services, OED may have options that support job seekers with basic needs and supportive services.
We can help you identify what to ask for and how to follow up.
Connect with OED Virtually.
Training and Education Consortium (TEC)
TEC can also help connect people to resources and supports, especially when barriers are affecting job search or training plans. If you are already working with TEC, bring your barrier list and timeline, and they can help route you effeciently.
